Certified Special Education Advocate
Anne Tillman comes to advocacy with a wide range of experience over 10 years in education. She has taught multiple grade levels, in both elementary and middle school, and also served as an instructional coach for 3 years. As an educator, she has experience with the intervention process, testing, I.E.P. implementation, and supporting neurodiverse students in the classroom. She has seen the positive impact of appropriate accommodations and school support on the success of students in her classroom.
She completed her Bachelor's of Early and Elementary Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University. She went on to receive her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a Literacy Specialization from Lesley University. She has experience in 3 different states (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas) in both public and private settings. Anne also holds her Board certification for Advocacy in Special Education from the National Association of Special Education Teachers.
Anne also has experience with the special education system as a family member. Anne comes from a family of 13 children (yes, 13!) and a number of her siblings have been served by special education services. She has acted as an advocate for her siblings in various settings.
